Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon 2026
On 4 October, thousands of runners will take part in an international marathon through Hanoi's Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake and the capital's landmarks. Registration is closed; the official website has a waiting list.

On 4 October 2026, Hanoi will host the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon, one of the capital's largest international races. Participants can choose 42.195 km, 21.1 km, 10 km and 5 km distances, as well as children's races. The main registration is already full, but a waiting list is available on the official website.
The full-marathon route starts by Hoan Kiem Lake and crosses Hanoi's historic centre and Old Quarter, the West Lake area, Nhat Tan Bridge, Dong Anh, Dong Tru Bridge and Long Bien Bridge. Along the way, runners pass the Hanoi Opera House, St Joseph's Cathedral, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and other city landmarks. The marathon starts at 04:00; shorter distances have a separate schedule.
The previous season attracted more than 13,000 registered runners from 55 countries. Even if you are not racing, the event is a good way to see Hanoi at an unusual early hour and support participants along the course.
