Where to go in Nha Trang this weekend, 24–25 October
A digital technology festival opens at April 2 Square on Saturday, followed in the evening by four stand-up comedians at The Balcony. On Sunday, you can start with DJ sets at FourSea and practise your English later in the day. Here are four events from the Vietnam by Anilau listings for 24–25 October in Nha Trang.
Digital technology festival at April 2 Square
For three days, the square beside the Lotus Tower will become a technology exhibition. The organisers are preparing around 60 booths, where visitors can see robot models, try artificial intelligence applications and take part in technology quizzes with prizes. A separate part of the programme focuses on avoiding online scams.
The festival runs from 24 to 26 October, so you can visit on either day of the weekend. The opening is scheduled for Saturday at 08:00. This is the ceremony time; daily booth opening hours have not yet been published.
When: 24 and 25 October, during the three-day festival.
Where: April 2 Square, Trần Phú Street, beside the Lotus Tower.
Admission: check the programme for entry conditions.
Big Stand-up at The Balcony
Seva Vertman, Sergey Lavrov, Lena Khrushcheva and Linar Gibaev will perform at The Balcony on Saturday. The Russian-language comedy evening takes place on the 27th floor of Boton Blue Hotel.
Booking ahead makes a noticeable difference: presale tickets cost VND 200,000, compared with VND 300,000 at the door if seats remain. Doors open half an hour before the performance.
When: 24 October, show at 20:00, doors from 19:30.
Where: The Balcony, 27th floor of Boton Blue Hotel, 6 Phạm Văn Đồng.
Tickets: VND 200,000 presale; VND 300,000 at the door if seats remain. Ages 18+.
EVO Morning Party at FourSea
You do not have to wait until dark for a party: EVO welcomes guests to FourSea at nine in the morning. Expect DJ sets, conversation and opportunities to meet new people. The party finishes at noon, leaving most of Sunday ahead of you.
To join, order a drink at the restaurant. The announcement does not specify a separate fixed ticket price.
When: 25 October, 09:00–12:00.
Where: FourSea, 3–5 Phạm Văn Đồng.
Participation: with the purchase of a drink.
SmallTalk at Lila Coffee
If you mostly read English but rarely have anyone to speak it with, SmallTalk offers a chance to practise on Sunday. Participants chat in pairs and change partners about every 15 minutes. Partners are matched by level, so you do not need to be fluent already.
Sessions usually bring together 30–50 people. Over an hour and a half, you can meet several participants, then join a quiz and prize draw at the end. Registration is required before the meetup.
When: 25 October, 17:00–18:30.
Where: Lila Coffee & Lila Show, Hẻm 24 Nguyễn Đình Chiểu.
Participation: VND 50,000, with advance registration.
Before heading out, check the organiser’s latest announcement, ticket availability and registration requirements. All times are local to Nha Trang.
