Independence Palace (Dinh Độc Lập), also known as Reunification Hall, is one of Ho Chi Minh City’s best-known historic landmarks. The present building, designed by architect Ngô Viết Thụ, opened in 1966 and blends modernist forms with traditional East Asian motifs.
The palace is closely associated with the turning point of 30 April 1975. Visitors can explore its rooms and interiors, as well as the exhibition “From Norodom Palace to Independence Palace, 1868–1966”. The general admission ticket covers both the Palace and the exhibition, making this a thoughtful visit for anyone interested in Saigon and modern Vietnamese history.
Open daily from 07:00 to 18:00, except for special closures announced by the venue. Adult general admission is 80,000 VND; other visitor categories have different rates. Check current hours and conditions before visiting.
