Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg brings Boris Eifman’s Eugene Onegin to Vietnam. The ballet is based on Alexander Pushkin’s novel in verse. Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s classical music is paired with rock compositions by Alexander Sitkovetsky, while the story of Tatyana and Onegin explores desire, choices, love and belated regrets.
The tour has eight performances, all starting at 19:30: 21, 22, 23 and 24 October in Ho Chi Minh City, and 28, 29, 30 and 31 October in Hanoi. In Ho Chi Minh City, the ballet is at Hòa Bình Theatre (240 Đường 3 Tháng 2); in Hanoi, it is at the Việt Xô Friendship Cultural Palace (91 Trần Hưng Đạo).
