Left on Read / Bóng Chữ has opened at Dogma, combining an exhibition, a library and a pop-up bookshop. Here, the printed page becomes both an art object and a way to reflect on how texts transmit knowledge, shape social ideas and engage the imagination.
Curators Linh Lê and Minh Nguyễn bring contemporary works together with archival material. The participating artists are Lesley-Anne Cao, Hà Ninh Phạm, Phan Thảo Nguyên and Shubigi Rao, alongside works and documents from the Dogma Collection. The project considers print in roles ranging from communication and self-education to an instrument of public life.
The Vietnamese title Bóng Chữ refers to Lê Đạt's poem of the same name, The Shadow of Words. Reading here extends beyond artwork labels: the library and bookshop are part of the exhibition's concept.
Dogma welcomes visitors Thursday to Sunday, 11:00–18:00. Address: 27A Nguyễn Cừ, An Khánh, Ho Chi Minh City.
