On Saturday, 7 November, visit a family in Xuân Canh village, Đông Anh, who still make tofu by traditional methods. Watch a morning batch being prepared, learn about the craft and its by-products, and make tofu yourself. The visit includes a tofu brunch at the host family home; an optional village cycle and artisan visits can follow.
Meet at 07:00 at the ferry point in Bắc Cầu, near Ngọc Thụy, Hanoi. The organiser sends final meeting details to confirmed participants. The tofu-making and brunch portion runs until about 11:00; optional cycling and visits to other village artisans can follow.
Fee: 400,000 VND per person, including the ferry one way, brunch, tea and a piece of tofu to take home. Shared taxi from the ferry to the village and return travel are extra; additional tofu or soy milk can be bought from the makers. Maximum 8 participants.
